Farewell to lifelong hunt supporter Certhia Harden


  • Lifelong hunt supporter and horsewoman Certhia Harden, passed away on 14 May, aged 94.

    Mrs Harden, of Kent hunted for 70 years, primarily with the East Sussex and Romney Marsh and was an active member of the Rother Valley Riding Club.

    Certhia competed in every discipline with great success and was still hunting well into her 90s with her grey horse Bacchanal.

    A service of thanksgiving will be held at 1.30pm on 27 May, at Benenden Parish Church.
