1. ‘Showing serious potential’
Height: 14.1hh
Age: five
Gender: gelding
Selling points: “‘Cookies and Cream’ has been professionally produced since being backed, this has been done slowly, correctly and carefully. He has been successfully competed this summer at affiliated novice and has consistently produced scores of high 60s and 70s with numerous placings, qualifying after his first couple of outings with ease. We have started working at elementary at home and he is taking everything that’s been asked of him in his stride. He has three very correct balanced paces with lovely cadence and swing. He is responsive and light to his aids and has only ever been ridden in a snaffle. He has always been very straightforward and consistent in his behaviour and way of going no matter how big or small the occasion. This pony will give you everything he has in whatever you ask. Since producing we have solely focused on his flatwork schooling as he was showing such huge natural ability for this sphere, however in more recent months whilst offering variation to his work he proved himself to be an outstanding jumping prospect also. No vices. Any future owner will be more than a little lucky to own this super pony.”
2. ‘Eager to please’
Height: 14.1hh
Age: four
Gender: gelding
Selling points: “This homebred Newforest x Knabstrupper (registered sports pony) has a 10-year-old brain. ‘Rocky’ has a wonderful, kind temperament and is very genuine — a real ‘can do’ chap. He has wonderful conformation and movement and would excel at working hunter pony (WHP )or dressage. He has competed British Dressage (BD) and won virtually every time out, scoring 71.48% in his first ever unaffiliated prelim test and 68.46% in his first BD test, qualifying for the BD Area Petplan festivals in his first three shows. He has started showjumping, has been cross-country schooled and has done riding club camp, proving to be incredibly honest and very willing. He hacks out alone and in company and is very good with traffic. He really is a genuine, honest chap, with no hang ups — a sort that is really hard to find. “
3. ‘Gorgeous pony’
Height: 14hh
Age: five
Gender: mare
Selling points: “This part-bred Arab (PBA) is super athletic with flashy paces. She has a fantastic attitude towards life. She has been lightly shown and done dressage and is always in the ribbons with consistent scores in the high 60s at prelim and novice level. She would make a fantastic British Young Riders Dressage Scheme (BYRDS) pony, show hunter pony (SHP) or PBA. Easy to do in every way and lovely to have around.”
4. ‘Talented’
Height: 14hh
Age: seven
Gender: gelding
Selling points: “‘Buttons’ is talented, trainable and willing. He is eye-catching with straight, correct movement and clean limbs. He has been professionally schooled but was started late so has bits left to learn, therefore he would suit a competent teenager or small adult. He is working in a lovely soft outline, with good lateral work at home. He is gaining respectable scores at prelim and novice level, and has tentatively ridden his first elementary with lovely comments from judges. A potential BYRDS pony or has the ability to suit a small adult with ambition. Easy to keep, lives out and happy in groups or alone. Perfect to hack in company, but due to an accident on the road as a five-year-old, he needs a super confident and unflappable rider to help him on his own.”
5. ‘Top dressage pony’
Height: 14hh
Age: five
Gender: mare
Selling points: “This is a really eye-catching pony with the temperament, presence and movement to make BYRDS FEI pony in the right home. She is a SHP stamp and would also make a top WHP. She has no vices and is a pleasure to do. I have owned her since she was a foal and she has been produced slowly and correctly. A chance to buy an unspoilt youngster, she is now starting to jump with a lovely technique. She is regularly scoring high 70s and is more than ready to go BD. Snaffle mouth in all disciplines. She is big enough to be ridden by a small adult and rides like a horse.”
