She needs no introduction in the horse world. Current World, Olympic and European champion and holder of three world records, Charlotte Dujardin has enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom in the sporting world over the last three years.
Charlotte had three dreams when she started working for Carl Hester in 2007. She made those dreams a reality in a mere five years: to ride at Olympia, ride on a team with Carl and to ride at the Olympics.
2014 has been a stellar year for the ‘dancing horse girl’ from Enfield and a win at the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year (SPOTY) this weekend (14 December) would really be the cherry on top for not only Charlotte, but for the dressage and equestrian fraternity as a whole.

January: Leads the way at Amsterdam CDI on Valegro, scoring 91.27% in the freestyle
March: Wins the grand prix and kür on Uthopia with two plus-76% scores at Addington CDI
April: Stands world cup final champion on Valegro with 92.17%. They also set a new world record for grand prix, of 87.12%

August: Wins two individual golds and team silver at WEG on Valegro with scores up to 92.16%
September: Is best of the four-year-olds in the preliminary round at the British Dressage national championships on Mount St John Best Of All
November: Named as the Sunday Times and Sky Sports sportswoman of year — an awards ceremony that celebrates the outstanding contribution to sport made by elite performers and other inspirational figures
December: Crowned BT Sport’s action woman of year following a public vote. This award celebrates sporting performances by British female athletes
