British juniors just miss out on a medal as France claim gold at the Junior European Eventing Championships
The British junior eventing team narrowly missed bringing home a team bronze from the Junior European Eventing Championships in Walldorf, Germany. The British team was just two penalties adrift from a medal winning position.
France won gold, with Germany taking silver and Ireland the bronze medal.

British squad member William Fox-Pitt was in fine form at Scarva CIC in Northern Ireland at the weekend. Having won the two-star section and finished runner-up in the three-star, William took the overall leading rider award.
For the first time in the history of the event, victory in the lucrative CIC*** went to an Irish rider – Sarah Ennis.
