Farewell to Jolyse and Alyse Clancey’s eventer On Air II

  • Jolyse and Alyse Clancey have lost their black three-star stallion On Air 11, after he re-damaged a trauma injury to his knee sustained at Great Witchingham in 2009.

On Air, 13, was a grandson of Jolyse’s Team European Junior Bronze medal ride On Song, and great grandson of Augermist, mother Alyse’s prolific 4* event mare.

He was short-listed for the young riders team on several occasions.

“We will miss ‘Bramham’ terribly. He was such a kind horse, so easy for a stallion, and always so tough and sound,” said Alyse.

“He hurt his knee last year but was sound on it until a month ago when he must have twisted it while he was out in the field. It was not getting any better so we took the hard decision to put him down on 3 December.”
