Claire Lomas raises over £200,000 for Spinal Research


  • Paralysed eventer Claire Lomas has raised more than four times her initial fundraising target for running the London Marathon in a robotic suit.

    Claire – who is paralysed from the waist down following an accident at Osberton in 2007 – revealed today that she has raised almost £203,000 for Spinal Research.

    “Wow – thank you everyone who donated or supported in any way,” she tweeted.

    Claire completed the marathon on 8 May, 16 days after she set off.

    The mother of one now plans to cycle from London to Paris using a bike powered by her legs and arms next spring.
