Charlotte Agnew is TopSpec Scholar

  • Event rider Charlotte Agnew has won the prestigious TopSpec Scholarship 2007, receiving £2,000 worth of prizes to aid her competition career.

The 19-year-old Edinburgh University student plans to put £500 towards extra cross-country training lessons with international eventer Ian Stark and will receive a year’s supply of TopSpec horse feed, clothing, rugs and advice from TopSpec.

Charlotte is aiming her top rides, Little Beau and RH Rocket, for Burghley Horse Trials and hopes to catch the selectors’ eye for the Young Riders team this year.

“I was genuinely shocked when I heard I had won the TopSpec Scholarship,” said Charlotte. “It was a real surprise, but a wonderful one and I am over the moon.”
