Bramham founder George Lane Fox has died


  • George Lane Fox, founder of Bramham Horse Trials has died aged 81.

    Mr Lane-Fox, who founded the event in 1973, died at home on Tuesday (9 October).

    The first competition was a one day event, with George as event director and course designer. The following year he turned it into a three-day event, and seven years later it was awarded international status.

    His funeral is to be held on Wednesday (17 October) at All Saints Church, Bramham at 11.30am.
