Badminton box office opens

  • Tickets are now available for spectators to enjoy the ultimate eventing challenge, the Badminton Horse Trials 2003, which takes place from 1-4 May.

Last year’s innovation of moving the cross-country start to the main arena will be repeated and some other changes to the course are to be expected from designer Hugh Thomas.

Prize-money totals £164,000, with £37,500 to the winner, making Badminton one of the richest events on the equestrian calendar.

The Badminton members’ club ringside marquee, also launched in 2002, is to continue, offering hospitality on all four days of the event. Some ticketing changes are to be introduced to help reduce the congestion experienced on cross-country day last year – forward area car park passes may only be booked in advance.
