Riders enjoy dressage success


  • Harolds Park Farm

    Stacy Coates and Rambello won the open section of the medium qualifier at Harolds Park Farm, Essex, reports Ruth Pearce. Mandy Day and Rocky took the medium qualifier overall, while Dan Sherriff and Bayford Hall Dallaglio led the advanced medium qualifier. Sally Fitzgerald rode Daniel Paul’s Artist Grey into joint top spot in the elementary qualifier with Annette Scott and Paddywhack. She also led the elementary 41 on Suzie Wong.

    Summerhouse EC

    Donna Eroica dazzled in the last tests of the day at Summerhouse, Gloucestershire, reports Andrea Oakes. “Prima” and rider Joanna Potterton took both the advanced medium 86 and 94 qualifier. Irma Sutton and the Dutch-bred Summerhouse Unicum received 73.4% from novice 23 judge Sue Duffy. Tessa Thorne dominated at prelim and novice level with Captain Bertie and Ruby Tuesday. Louise Eklof and Regulo lead Deborah Fielding and Grease Lightning by a narrow margin in elementary 52. Roles were reversed in the 55 qualifier.

    Heart Of England

    Claire Ballantyne had three wins at Heart Of England Equestrian, Staffordshire, reports Jo Prestwich. Fame scored a double at medium level and Wish Of Sheepcote was successful in the advanced medium qualifier. Louise Baker won both novice classes, one with 70%, riding Waldlord. List One judge Sue Jelks and Cadbury II won the first of two advanced mediums.

    Welsh Dressage Group

    Tanina Humfrey pulled off a double victory in the medium and advanced medium with Limbo Venture, reports Andrea Oakes. Hello Harley overcame a jittery start to win both novice open sections on his first affiliated dressage outing with Brendan Tegg.
