Dressage maestro Edward Gal will be holding a masterclass at the Royal Festival of the Horse — his only UK appearance before the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.
The Dutch rider said: “I am delighted to be part of this exciting new equestrian event and I’m very much looking forward to being back in front of a wonderful UK audience, who are always so welcoming and appreciative.”
The Royal Festival of the Horse (9-11 July) at Stoneleigh Park, Warks, is one of the replacements for the Royal Show, which ended last year.
Edward will be part of the dressage programme on 9 July, which also includes dressage to music by some of the UK’s top riders and further demonstrations of training and schooling methods.
The Saturday (10 July) will be given over to showjumping, with British riders competing in a 1.60m jump off competition and a speed class.
And Express Eventing will take place on Sunday 11 July — this year confined to young riders.
