Charlotte Dujardin buys three-year-old to replace Fernandez

  • Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester have bought a British-bred three-year-old to replace Charlotte’s grand prix horse Fernandez.

Fernandez, an 11-year old chestnut Westfalian, was sold to Norwegian team rider Cathrine Rasmussen on 13 September.

At the time Charlotte told H&H the money raised would enable her and her fianc © to buy a home and she and Carl would also buy a youngster.

Now the European gold-winners have bought Whybanquo, a three-year-old Woiwode gelding, bred by the Headmore Stud in Hampshire.

Sarah Oppenheimer, who owns the stud, said: “It’s such a coup for British Breeding and I think Charlotte is as pleased as we are.”
