Win a lesson with Tim Stockdale, Pippa Funnell or Dane Rawlings, plus tickets to the Hickstead Equine Event with HHO
Most riders would love to learn from the top riders in their favourite discipline but never get the chance. Horse & Hound Online is going to make the dream into reality for one lucky user.
In association with the Hickstead Equine Event, HHO users can win a lesson with either top show jumper Tim Stockdale, two-time individual gold medallist event rider Pippa Funnell or international dressage trainer Dane Rawlings, plus tickets to the three-day equine event.
The Hickstead Equine Event is taking place under cover at the All England Jumping Course,West Sussex, home of the Royal International Horse Show and the International Derby meeting, from 11-13 January 2002.
Suppliers of everything from saddlery and clothing to horse feed will be among the 100 exhibitors and many are expected to have surplus or excess stock at reduced prices.
Among the exhibitors with post-Christmas stock will be Whittaker Equestrian, Countywear, Barkers Saddlery and Horses in Sport.
British team manager Yogi Breisner and Pippa Funnell will be present on all three days of the event. They join Dane Rawlins and Tim Stockdale, who will be giving advice to individual members of the audience. There will also be a veterinary demonstration and talk on each of the three days.
“This is a project we have had in mind for some time, but until now have lacked the facility in which to stage it,” said organiser Philip Bunn. “But we are putting up a huge temporary structure for Christmas functions, and decided to keep it a little longer so that we could introduce the equine event.”
Entrance costs £4, but all 10,000 people on Hickstead’s show visitor database will be invited and offered tickets at a £1 saving. For more information, contact (tel: 01273 835262).
