Horseowner Natalie Jefferies tested this stud kit with her mare, 15.2hh Canada.
“This starter kit comes sealed on a piece of cardboard. Once opened you need to find a suitable storage container,” says Natalie.
“On the back of the card are diagrams of the studs and a description of their uses, something which is really useful. The wire brush is brilliant for cleaning out the holes, but the spanner part was quite tricky so I decided to use a normal spanner instead.”
The three types of studs supplied were useful and gave a good range whatever the ground conditions, hard, spongy or soft. The plugs were great and saved fiddling around with conventional cotton plugs.”
Overall I like this stud kit ¨ it had everything I needed and was much better value than buying all the bits separately.
