For those interested in higher education courses that include the care of companion and farm animals as well as horses, Writtle College in Essex has introduced new qualifications in animal management.
The new courses include a foundation degree (aimed at those in part-time employment), an HND (animal management and welfare), and from 2002 an honours degree.
