If you don’t have a special person to spend Valentine’s Day with this year, or are looking for new friends to share horse-time with, then a new website called Lovehorse.co.uk could be the answer to your needs.
Lovehorse.co.uk is an online dating and friendship service for the equestrian and countryside community, which has just been launched to enable equestrian enthusiasts to meet up.
Creator Ben Lovegrove decided to set up the site following the success of his other two sites — for the aviation and sailing communities.
“It can be difficult to meet like-minded people,” says the designer, who maintains all three websites in his spare time. “If you’re looking for a partner or just someone to ride out with, this gives people who love horses a forum to meet each other.”
The website is offering a year’s free subscription (worth nearly £100) to founder members, and promises: “Whether you want romance, companionship, or someone to ride out with, you’ll find them here.”
A brief scan through the site reveals a surplus of women —which may be a reflection of the equestrian world— but maybe your Prince Charming is waiting in the wings.
