Laura Collett and Penwayn Ryan
Last year, Penwayn Ryan was running wild on the Welsh hillside – a year later 14-year-old Laura Collett and the stunning section A working hunter pony dazzled a packed HOYS as they left the ring at a gallop, after lifting the pony of the year title.
This win completed a brilliant competition season for the pair, including winning the £1,000 supreme championship at the Ponies (UK) championships at Peterborough in August. Ryan was also overall champion at the Welsh Pony and Cob Performance Show.
