Buy Hickstead tickets online

  • Show jumping and showing enthusiasts can book discounted tickets for the Royal International Horse Show (23-27 July) and the British Jumping Derby Meeting (14-17 August) at the All England Jumping Course, Hickstead via the showground’s website.

Early bookings will qualify for a £1 discount per person per day, but this offer is limited so visit www.hickstead.co.uk to make sure you don’t miss out.

    New SJ sponsor

The £3,000 Salver show jumping class at 2003 British Jumping Derby Meeting is being supported by Travel Alberta and its partners — Canadian Tourism Commission, Rocky Mountaineer Railtours and The Independent Traveller/Ranch Rider.

The Alberta Canada Salver will be held in the International Arena on the opening day and is popular with leading riders as a class to give horses their first taste of the unique Hickstead atmosphere.

The sponsorship could also benefit many of the thousands of spectators expected at the meeting, as they can claim a £50 reduction on any 2003/4 Alberta holiday bought through The Independent Traveller/Ranch Rider.

    Boost for coloureds

Entries in the British Skewbald and Piebald Association coloured horse classes at last year’s Royal International Horse Show were so high that an extra class is being added to the 2003 schedule.

This year, coloureds will be divided into two classes: one for lightweight and middleweights, with a second class to cater for the traditional and heavyweight types.

“The demand and standard are so high last year that we are delighted to give them more time on the schedule,” said Hickstead show secretary Lizzie Bunn.
