Lucinda Fredericks is holding tight to her dressage lead, with Bettina Hoy still in second place at Burghley Horse Trials this morning. The “Burghley WAGS” took the leading positions yesterday afternoon, ahead of their husbands and so far their scores have proved unbeatable.

The main change to the leader board is that the Hoys, lying in second and third place overnight, have been split by Bonnie Mosser from America. Mosser’s stylish test with Jenga clocked up a 38.9 pen score from the judges, squeezing her into third place behind Bettina Hoy and ahead of Andrew Hoy.
Australia’s Shane Rose and All Luck also produced a high scoring test to move into fifth place on a score of 43.5 pen, leaving Oliver Townend and Rebecca Holder in equal sixth. William Fox-Pitt and his first ride Ballincoola are in eighth place.
