Bell breaks Working Hunter records

  • Louise Bell and Out of Sight won the Land Rover Working Hunter Championship at Royal Windsor Horse Show yesterday afternoon. The pair had already been placed first in the Heavyweight Working Hunter Class and Bell won the Lightweight Working Hunter class on her other horse, Cruise Control. This brings Bells’ Windsor Working Hunter victories to a total of thirteen.

“Out of Sight has won the Heavy Weight Working Hunter here four times and been Champion three times, but not in a row,” she explained to HHO afterwards, “In fact it feel like déja vu today as last time we were champions, Cruise Control was Reserve Champion as well.”

Yesterday afternoon’s hunter class was Out of Sight’s second showing outing this year. He spent the winter hunting with the Warwickshire and Heythrop. “He’s brilliant out hunting,” Bell confirms. The key to her consistent Working Hunter success is, she maintains; “Hunting and having great horses.” Ten-year-old Cruise Control is by Cruising and Out of Sight, 11, is by Rakish Paddy.
