Check out some of these movers and shakers who were crowned at the National Pony Society (NPS) autumn festival held at Vale View Equestrian Centre (20 September).
The show hosted winter finals for those who had qualifed for the NPS spring festival and gave competitors the opportunity to bag early tickets for next year’s championship show.

1. Briar Snow Fox
Lucy Richardson leads her daughter, Penny, and the first season Shetland gelding to stand top of both NPS/The Kings Head novice M&M mini championship and the NPS/Williams & Nash Memorial novice M&M championship.
2. Brookwater Tom Thumb
The Julie Templeton-produced first ridden show pony is crowned NPS/Palmfields & CE Fuller mini champion with Florrie Duncalf in the saddle.
3. Bryncarreg The Bandit
The Welsh section C gelding — M&M restricted champion at the BSPS summers last month — reigns again as he takes the NPS/Hirstmund Stud pure novice sash with producer Katy Marriott-Payne.
4. Tyan Ma’Lady
Sue Deakin rides Janine Sehne’s foot-perfect Connemara mare to take home to the NPS/Standinghat Stud silver medal.
5. Balmoral Leia
HM The Queen’s home-bred Highland pony filly, who is just a three-year-old, lands the NPS/Leyhills M&M in-hand winter final before standing reserve for the British Isles sash.
6. Jackets Destiny
The 2019 Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) winner and Emmy Parkhouse are unbeaten all day and finish of their run with the NPS/British Isles Area supreme flat accolade.
7. Briar Snowman
Lilly Richardson keeps up with her sister, Penny, by winning the NPS/NPS Area 10 open ridden winter championship with her mannerly Shetland gelding.
8. Skaergaardens Delicious Love
Craig Elenor debuts Vanessa Clark’s eight-year-old Connemara mare in-hand as she goes onto win the NPS silver medal as well as the NPS/area XI British Isles supreme in-hand title.
9. Nipna Midnight Rambler
The five-year-old stallion trots his way to the NPS/Hirstmund Stud pure novice winter crown for producer Sarah Parker and owners Anna and Julie Pennell.
10. Loughmore Rebel
Steph Peto’s own Connemara Loughmore Rebel scores a hattrick by winning all three of his novice classes.
11. Menai Anrheg Penblywdd
Reserve in the NPS/Hirstmund Stud pure novice championship is Harriet Glen aboard her mother Nicki’s big moving Welsh section A.
12. Moelview Prince Consort
After two years out of the show ring, Sam Roberts’ prolific show and dressage star is back in game as he scoops an NPS/Ringside Stud open ridden ticket as well as the section title.
