    Making the most of the Indian summer, this morning at sunrise six members of The Life Guards Squadron took some of our horses to Hayling Island for a watering order with a difference! – Exercising our horses in a variety of environments enables us to expose them to a range of situational factors to help condition them for state ceremonial & public duties. It also offers some variety to the ménage and roads around London. – Just 3 months ago, these horses were on an extended holiday in Melton Mowbray and our soldiers were working tirelessly to help London manage the COVID-19 pandemic – now focussed on preparing horses for whatever lies ahead whilst maintaining our equine skills, a career in the Household Cavalry is anything but ordinary.
