John Francome
John Francome was champion jumps jockey seven times during his illustrious career, which saw him achieve a record-breaking 1038 winners and win top races including the Gold Cup and the Champion Hurdle. His graceful riding style and eye for a stride made him a joy to watch on the course. A true all-round horseman, Francome was a successful show jumper in his younger years, representing Britain at European level and winning the Young Riders’ Championship at Hickstead.
