Dr Jaromir Oulehla, former director of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna and the Austrian State Stud at Piber, will visit England to evaluate Lipizzaner mares for the first time next month.
Owners of Lipizzaner mares are invited to bring them to the Starrock Stud in Ludwell, near Shaftesbury, Dorset on Saturday, 11 September.
The next day, the stud will host the Lipizzaner Society of Great Britain (LSGB) annual open day. Guests include the Horses Impossible Stunt Team, which recently spent three months in the Czech Republic training and riding horses in the new Dracula film, Van Helsing.
The team will bring two Lipizzaners that starred in the recently released film, King Arthur, to the show.
Horses from Austria’s other breed, the Haflinger, will perform a quadrille and a driving demonstration. There will also be Husky racing and dressage, as well as the chance to see many Lipizzaner stallions, mares and foals.
