Top event rider Clea Phillips has teamed up with bespoke saddle manufacturer sue carson saddles to create a new close contact saddle that is perfect for show jumping and cross country.
The Scope saddle is lighter in weight than a normal saddle and is designed with only a single panel to allow the rider to get a closer feel when riding.
The saddle has been designed with a wide gullet to ensure that whatever the size and shape of the horse the saddle will allow total freedom of movement for the horse, especially through the shoulder and back.
At the same time the saddle provides maximum comfort and balance for the rider and is offered on different trees. The front and rear thigh blocks can be altered giving a feeling of maximum security without being restricted.
Sue carson saddles are all fitted by the company’s highly trained fitters and use the Flair air bag system instead of traditional flocking. The saddles are fitted specifically to each horse and adjusted to ensure optimum comfort helping to achieve top performance.
The Scope saddle retails at approximately £1600 and is available in military brown/black and tan in 16″ – 19″.
