Boherdeal Clover at stud
Boherdeal Clover, the Clover Hill stallion owned by Padraig and Sheelagh Goonan, who competed with Michael Whitaker before moving to the Irish Army Equitation School, has been retired to stud. A member of many Irish Nations Cup teams, Boherdeal Clover now stands at Ard Cherrymount Stud near Navan.

Chippison available via AI
Chippison, the stallion ridden into second place in the grand prix at the final show of the Spanish Sunshine Tour by Irish rider Marie Burke, is available to mare owners through AI this year. Chippison is a son of Cavalier out of the international mare Chipmount, who is by the Irish Draught Flagmount Boy.
Cameo’s Reflection performs
Sue and John Rawding’s home-bred SHB (GB) graded stallion, Cameo’s Reflection, has proved his worth as a performer over the winter after successfully competing at Addington Manor’s all-weather eventing days as well as hunting regularly. Reflection is a son of the great Selle Francais stallion Dallas, who produced the international show jumping stallion Hello Oscar, the Burghley winner Diamond Hall Red and the champion show hunter Reaction.
New stallion for Anglesey
Welsh Sport Horse International — an amalgamation of Pentaran and Marchell Studs on the Isle of Anglesey — has a new stallion for 2004. The newcomer is the five-year-old Thoroughbred Street Music, a son of Barathea. He joins the section B Longriver Last Waltz and the Welsh Cobs Erwfforch Dewin Direudus and Hendrewen Comet.
Success for Straloch Stud
Gerhard and Sue Fichtner’s Straloch Stud in Scotland enjoyed a massive boost in the British Bavarian Warmblood awards. Barbara Paul’s dressage points champion Jeltsin S, the overall winner of the members’ award Ravenna S and the event champion Jamais Plus, were all by the Fichtner’s stallion Japeloupe S, while another of the Fitchner’s stallions, Rascal S, headed the show jumping points table.
New coloured stallion
Centyfield Stud is standing a home-bred four-year-old tobiano stallion, Cutsdean Of Centyfield, this year. The horse is a son of the stud’s foundation stallion Centyfor. Cutsdean, who was backed last October, has been competing in dressage and will compete throughout the summer prior to his grading in the autumn.
