Jane Richard Philips, will join the Miasuki team for 2015.
Born in 1983, Jane Richard Philips has been rising through the ranks of world-class equestrians since 1998. Her fresh, dynamic and cosmopolitan but refined image makes her the ideal choice to represent Miasuki worldwide for 2015. Jane, who has been a Longines Ambassador since 2003, personifies the style and class of Miasuki’s exclusive collection of luxury equestrian clothing and accessories, created by young entrepreneur Mia S. Lei in partnership with eclectic British creative director, Michael St John.
With her inherent personal style, Jane Richard Philips will be a perfect testimonial for Miasuki, a new collection for female equestrians known for its impeccable quality, innovative problem solving, maximum comfort and high aesthetic. The range has been designed with minute attention to detail, and will shortly occupy a top spot in Italian-made equestrian fashion.
Jane’s experience in high level competition began with her professional debut at the Willi Melliger stables, at which time she took part in the Junior & Young Rider Championships five times, with exceptional results. Following this she trained with George Morris, Pius Schwizer and Katie Monahan Prudent. Jane reached a turning point in her life and her career when she met and subsequently married fellow rider Ignace Philips and together they now run the historic “La Madonnina” Equestrian Centre.
Between 2006 and 2010, Jane had much success with her horses Jalla De Gaverie and Zekina Z at Grand Prix events in Switzerland and Italy, winning a bronze medal at the Swiss Global Championships in Berne with her horse Upanisad di San Patrignano. In 2010 Jane also represented her home country at the World Cup Finals in Geneva.
After giving birth to her son Noah in 2011 she obtained a number of high placings at events including the Gucci Masters in Paris, Hong Kong and New York and on the Longines Global Champions Tour 2013/14 circuit with Upanisad di San Patrignano and other great horses such as Quister de Guldenboom, Dieudonné de Guldenboom and Pablo de Virton. Her successes with the latter finally led her to the World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy where she was part of the Swiss team. And most recently she came second at the Miasuki Piccolo Gran Premio (1.55 m) which took place last November at Jumping Verona, during the Italian stage of the World Cup.
Jane will be an enthusiastic participant in Miasuki’s interactive Female First programme, introduced to help and support female equestrians worldwide through our panel of experts in various fields related to horse riding; a project that aims to answer questions and improve women’s chances of success in training and in competition. Mutual plans for 2015 include events and activities based around those key phrases that sum up Jane Richard Philips and Miasuki: personal style and top quality.
