Andrew Nicholson teams up with Veredus to launch new eventing boots
Veredus ambassador Andrew Nicholson has helped launch the brand’s new eventing boots, E-vento.
The boots are made in microperforated neoprene AEROX, together with 3D mesh ducted fabric for double ventilation.
They are fully-waterproof, lightweight and have protective pads in polyurethane foam to help reduce the shock felt during high impact.
“My horses’ legs matter,” said six-times Olympian and five-times Burghley winner Andrew.
“The E-vento boots fit, protect and don’t restrict movement — that’s what I need from a cross-country boot.”
The boots cost £100 (front) and £110 (back) and are available in black, sizes medium and large.

Spillers introduces new essentials range

German riding hat manufacturer Uvex buys riding glove label
German riding helmet manufacturer Uvex has expanded its equestrian range with the takeover of the riding glove brand Schwenkel.
Both brands will continue to be distributed to UK and Irish retailers by Zebra Products following the acquisition which was completed last week (1 January 2015).
“We want to preserve the brand and we will carry on with the name Schwenkel with the existing product portfolio,” said Falk Pewestorf, CEO of the Uvex sports group.
“By taking this step we can celebrate the 100th anniversary of the brand Schwenkel this year,” he added.
For many years, Schewenkel has worked with top equestrian sports men and women to develop a wide range of riding gloves to suit all disciplines and budgets.
The gloves are worn by many top riders including Isabell Werth.
