Celebrating Britain’s top M&Ms at Olympia [PICTURES]

The best ridden examples of Britain’s native mountain and moorland breeds went head-to-head at Olympia yesterday (22 December) to compete for the prestigious Blue Chip Native BSPS Heritage Supreme Champion title.

Mrs H Skirton’s Welsh section B stallion Moelview Prince Consort (pictured top) triumphed to stand supreme champion under Sam Roberts ahead of Paul Starkie’s Dartmoor stallion Pumphill Bennet (pictured below), ridden by Morgan Starkie, who took reserve.

Olympia’s other best of breeds

Carol Ireland’s stallion Haselor Cormack was chosen as top Connemara, ridden by Katy Marriott-Payne.

Hannah Lee’s Kilmannan Kilty took the best Dales’ title.

Lynette Bates’ stallion Townend Candyman was crowed top Fell under Alex Bates.

Kirstin McMurray rode her own Trailtrow Texa Beag to the top Highland title.

Alexandra Hawkins’ Marleydenes Shiraz was crowned best New Forest.

Fiona Cork’s stallion Menai Christopher took the Welsh section C title.

Georgia Rhodes’ Taffechan Miss Moneypenny was top Welsh section D under Lauren Beaumont.

Hayley Reynolds’ stallion Dunkery Wigeon took the prize for the top Exmoor.

Mrs A Stevens’ stallion Brinleyview Cammanchee was ably piloted by Gemma Pallett to take the Shetland award.

India Latter rode her own stallion Powys Sprite to take the Welsh section A title.
