Have you always coveted a Hermès scarf but couldn’t justify it?
There’s now a guilt-free reason for shopping as the luxury French fashion house has produced a limited edition silk scarf to help raise funds for World Horse Welfare.
With an equestrian background, the company still cites the horse as a source of inspiration for its goods.
Thierry Hermès set up a leatherwork shop in Paris in 1837 and was renowned for his harness-making skills. The company has 16 product categories that draw equestrian inspiration, from handbags and scarves to hand-crafted saddles.
“The charity is very privileged to be involved in this exciting project. We are so grateful to Hermès for creating this new and specially designed silk composition ‘A cheval sur mon carré’ (A horse on my scarf),” said World Horse Welfare’s John Blake.
“A limited number only are now on sale and we want to ensure that our supporters get a chance to own one of these beautifully crafted pieces, whilst helping to raise money for horses across the globe. Proceeds from these 300 scarves will go towards the scope of the charity’s work in the UK and around the world.”
The scarves have been designed to raise money for the vital work the charity does for equines in the UK and globally. The charity has been working to improve welfare standards for horses for almost 90 years.
Only 300 scarves are available and cost £310.
The scarf was officially launched at a lunch in London on 23 October attended by 80 guests from across the equestrian world who share a love of horses.
The scarves are available to purchase from Hermès’ online shop or by contacting Hermès stores throughout the UK now.
