Some of the rescue ponies are not suitable for children but have great potential in the show ring. Ponies like Max often get overlooked due to the fact they are too sharp or nervous for children to ride.
Despite this, their conformation, movement and behaviour on the ground stands them in great stead as showing ponies. In-hand showing can be very rewarding especially for people who can no longer ride as it keeps them in the horse world industry whilst having fun within the showing community.
There are many shows available throughout the year with classes ranging from mountain and moorland and best turned out to coloured and best condition.
