Equestrians could benefit from extra funding as Mars Milk has set up a new fund to help sports individuals and clubs.
The new Mars Milk Play Fund has been set up to encourage more people to play sport.
The fund runs from 1 May until 30 September.
Each month, 10 applicants will be selected to receive a donation of £300.
There is also a £1,000 monthly people’s choice award where the public can vote for their favourite individual, club or team.
Michelle Frost from MARS Milk said: “Unfortunately, the tough economic climate has meant that less funding is available for sports individuals and clubs.
Our hope is that the fund will help clubs to recruit new members and encourage sport individuals to play for longer.”
The fund also gives entrants the chance to win the latest gadgets and days out.
