New equestrian coaches selected for apprenticeship scheme


  • Dressage rider Maria Eilberg and eventer Nick Gauntlett are among 11 new coaches selected for a new elite coaching apprenticeship programme.

    The three-year development scheme is part of the Lottery-funded World Class Programme and includes practical workshops and shadowing.

    It is mainly aimed at coaches with experience at senior international level or a rider with international team experience and interested in further developing their coaching skills.

    All four Olympic and Paralympic disciplines are represented. The other coaches are Matt Lanni, Mark McCourt, Erik McKechnie, Sarah Millis, Ros Morgan, Gary Parsonage, Dane Rawlins, Angela Weiss and Christie Wright.
