The organiser of a country fair where a woman was killed by a runaway horse has been cleared of a health and safety offence.
Carole Bullett, 57, was hit by a horse and carriage at the fair in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, in June 2011.
Earlier this month (18 November), St Edmundsbury Borough Council, which put on the event, was cleared of breaching health and safety law by a jury at Ipswich Crown Court.
Duncan Drye, 65, who was offering the horse and carriage rides at the fair, had already admitted a similar offence and will be sentenced at a later date.
