Nominations of teams are invited for the BHS TREC Championships of Great Britain which take place at Berriewood Farm, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire on 11- 12 August 2001.
No prior qualification is required and the organisers say that it is suitable for everyday riders and horses who want to test their abilities over a cross-country obstacle course, mounted orienteering, control of paces .
The Level 4 Championship and the easier Level 2 are for teams of four individuals (the three best scores count).
In addition there is a Pairs Championship at Level 2 with teams made up of three pairs.
Teams may represent an individual riding club, riding centre, breed of horse or pony, region, county or any other appropriate grouping.
Team registration is free, but riders must be BHS Gold members or members of a BHS affiliated riding club.

TREC riders wanted for overseas opportunity
The BHS is offering an opportunity for all young BHS TREC enthusiasts.
Riders between the ages of 16 and 18 are invited to participate in the Belgian Open TREC Championships for Young Riders.
These will take place on 8/9 September 2001 at Vielsalm in Belgium.
Competitors need not have extensive TREC experience.
