Members of the National Affiliation of Grooms and Students (NAGS) can win great prizes, including cash, training, goodies from Blue Chip and a VIP day out to Olympia in an exclusive Horse & Hound magazine competition.
Horse & Hound is looking for NAGS members who have a flair for writing, or have performed an act that was “beyond the call of duty”.
Write in and win
To enter the writing competition you must write approximately 1,000 words in your own style on any equestrian-related subject. Your piece could be a report on a show or event, or an informative article.
The winner will have their piece printed in Horse & Hound magazine and will spend a day at the Horse & Hound offices seeing the article edited and produced for publication. The winner will also receive £500 cash.
Horse & Hound also wants to reward NAGS members who have done something above and beyond the call of duty for the horses they care for, the yard at which they work, or at the college where they study.
If this sounds like you, or someone you know, then write to us about the good deed. You will need to supply the contact number of someone who can verify the story or the contact details of the person you are nominating.
The winner will enjoy a VIP day out at Olympia with a friend, as well as £250 in cash and a £250 Blacup Training Group bursary.
The four runners-up in each section will each receive £60 cash, a £30 Blacup Training Group bursary, a pair of Shires Saddlehugger jodhpurs or breeches (tel: 01568 613600) and a pairof Dublin Suede half-chaps from Weatherbeeta (tel: 01295 269900).
All prize winners in both sections will recieve a 10kg tub of Blue Chip feed balancer, a Blue Chip jacket and a Blue Chip cap.
For more information see Horse & Hound issue dated 13 September or contact Kerry Bowness (tel: 020 7261 5306).
