A new sport horse competition is to be held for the first time in Britain at the Arab Horse Society (AHS) national show in Malvern on 26-28 July.
Open to all registered Arabs, part-breds and Anglo-Arabs, there will be “biathlon” and “triathlon” classes at novice and intermediate level in sport horse and Western categories.
Competitors must enter two or three classes from different sections including in-hand, ridden showing, dressage and show jumping, with points awarded according to placings.
Entry for these classes is free and the overall champion will be eligible to compete at the European Championships.
