Show pony, Deaconwood Gold Charm, has died at the age of eight
The show pony, Deaconwood Gold Charm, who had a successful career under saddle, has died suddenly of toxaemia.
The pony, owned by Derbyshire-based Victor Johnson, had recently returned to the show ring as a broodmare with her foal.
Ridden by Victor’s daughter, Lidia and produced by Colin Rose during her ridden career, she qualified for the Royal International and the BSPS Championships.
Victor said: “We were expecting her to go on and win at Wembley and were intending to breed from her again. She was in foal when she died.”
