Riders will have to comply with new rules when moving up the grades under Endurance GB
Endurance GB has announced that for the 2002 season, existing EHPS and BERA members and/or their horses who have successfully completed 50 miles at vetted rides, (not necessarily as a combination), may progress to intermediate level. The horse must be six years old or older on 1 January 2002.
All new members and/or horses not having completed 50 miles successfully must adhere to the full slow track or fast track system at novice level in order to progress to intermediate.
Existing EHPS AND BERA members and/or their horses will be permitted to progress to advanced level providing they have successfully completed four additional rides of 50?80km (30?50 miles), one of which must be at least 65km (40 miles).
However, horses of seven years old and over may use one endurance ride of 65 or 80km (40 or 50 miles) as one of their additional four rides. This means that at least six rides, as detailed above, must be completed successfully in order for the horse and/or rider to compete at advanced level.
