An equestrian marketing expert has won an award thanks to an ex-racehorse and some coloured chalk.
Fourteen-year-old ex-racehorse Natterjack may no longer be running in races, but in retirement the handsome grey found his niche as a model.
The campaign was called Union Jack’s High and was thought up by Berkshire PR consultant Harriet Rochester of HRSM Ltd. received press national coverage.
The horse was painted in red, white and blue and featured in a campaign to promote the 2012 Barbury Castle International Horse Trials, as well as celebrating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Event rider Laura Collett was photographed jumping Natterjack over a mini cross-country course.
Yesterday (27 June) it was announced the campaign had won an award in the innovation category of the PRCA DARE Awards (South West and Wales).
“Transforming Natterjack into the Union Jack took some planning, but the results and impact speak for themselves,” said Harriet. “Thank you to the PRCA for recognising our work and to everyone who was involved in delivering this campaign”.
