The owner of a West Highland terrier appeals to High Court to save dog after complaints of “constant barking”
The owner of a dog, condemned to death by Aberdeen District Court, is appealing to the High Court in Edinburgh, to spare his pet’s life.
The ruling by the district court came after a neighbour complained of “constant barking, howling and whining”.
But the neighbour – in her 80s – is now said to be “horrified” that the terrier, Sam, was condemned to death, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph.
The report said that Sam’s owner, William Shaw, had faced several fines for failing to stop his terrier barking after a civil court order was issued in 1996.
Sam will remain in kennels until the appeal hearing in Edinburgh.
