Many a hunting enthusiast has a photo by H&H contributor Charles Sainsbury-Plaice on their mantelpiece.
But now the countryside photographer’s images don’t just look pretty — they speak as well.
Open his foxhound “sound card” and you’ll hear a hunting horn blowing the “gone away”. The Dartmoor pony whinnies and snorts, while, for the man in your life, the double guns card makes a realistic shooting noise. There’s even a tractor and a pig.
Charles reports that friends’ children have been delighted with the cards, though the same can’t be said for the parents — or the people who stock them.
“I was talking to the people who sell them and they said, ‘Those bloody hunting horns are driving me mad!’” he admitted.
Sound cards cost £5.25. Visit www.cspphoto.co.uk
