Show jumper Carl Edwards has generously donated his Olympic jacket badge, a signed T-shirt and a signed photo of himself competing in Sydney to help raise money for the Ian Hunt Trust Fund.
Ian, whose children both compete in show jumping competitions, was paralysed in a motorbike accident last September.
His family and friends are holding a telephone auction of these items of show jumping memorabilia to raise funds for a ventilator and communication device. Bids will be accepted by telephone to Sue Bellis (tel: 01244 550466) until 31 August.
Carl’s sponsor Ford Motor Company has also joined in the fund-raising effort, offering a week’s free use of a Ford Ranger XLT to the highest bidder.
