The Gloucestershire Festival of Polo, hosted by the renowned Beaufort Polo Club over the 15-16 June, is a weekend certainly not to be missed. Impressive world-class polo, teamed with fantastic entertainment and a tented shopping village, it is guaranteed to be an exciting and sociable fun day for the whole family.
On Saturday 15 June the impressive Audi England team will take on the talented team from South Africa, supported by Metropolitan, in the first of a three part Audi International Polo Series. England claimed a narrow victory in last year’s game over South Africa, fuelling further rivalry for the much anticipated re-match at Beaufort.
The highlight of the polo action on Sunday is the charity polo match, raising money for charity and providing lively and entertaining polo action. In 2012 it was the Zedan Polo team, featuring Prince Harry, who claimed the victory over the Duke of Cambridge’s Royal Salute team with 3.5 goals to 3 in last year’s exciting and fast paced game.
Not only will spectators be able to experience world-class polo action, they can also enjoy fantastic entertainment including, The Sheep Show with their famous dancing sheep and the National Birds of Prey Centre. Don’t forget also to take advantage of over 60 exhibitors situated in the tented shopping village — there is truly something for the whole family.
