Northern Winter Dressage semi-finals report


  • Last year’s National novice champions Gareth Hughes and Nurejev,owned by Linda Baxter , put themselves in line for another national title after winning the elementary semi final at Osbeldeston.

    Gareth also took home the novice semi final with university lecturer Karen Smith’s home-bred stallion Rossgold Riva. Andrea Morris qualified Greenbank Bertie in the restricted novice, the horse being more used to facing the fixed obstacles across country where he events at intermediate level.

    Libby Williams from Holmes Chapel won a closely fought open medium with Steven and Gill Smith’s Scottish bred Highlander IV ,a horse originally brought out by Ferdi Eilberg.
