Patty the painting donkey will exhibit her work to the nation after auditioning for the current series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
“She was an absolute star and enjoyed the attention,” said HorseWorld’s Vicky Greenslade, who taught the rescue donkey to paint at the charity centre in Bristol.
Although we can’t say how Patty fared — or when she will be appearing on the talent show — judge David Walliams’ assessment on Radio 1 didn’t sound too hopeful: “Basically, they put a paintbrush in the donkey’s mouth… then [she] would realise it wasn’t a carrot and spit it out.”
But at least Patty didn’t disgrace herself — unlike the auditioning racoon, which reportedly relieved itself outside head judge Simon Cowell’s dressing room.
