Public debut for “Millennium Coach”

  • Junior drivers enjoy a ride on a brand new road coach, during its public debute at HOYS

The Millennium Coach, a superb new road coach owned by Simon Baker, chairman of Voice Products and made by Fenix Carriages, made its public debut at the Horse of the Year Show.

Driven by Mark Broadbent of Fenix Carriages, the vehicle brought the winners of the Voice Products British Driving Society Junior Scholarships into the main ring to be presented with their certificates and rosettes by Sir John Miller, BDS president.

Immaculately painted in the traditional manner of a road coach, it took nearly 3,000 man hours to make during a 15-month period.

The winners of the scholarshipswere 14-year-old Justin Cowles, 15-year-old Alice Bentinck and 14-year-old Siobhan Walker. Each receives a week’s tuition at an approved driving yard of their choice.
