The Walsall Trade Society is to have a stand at one of America’s largest equestrian trade shows, King of Prussia, on 11-13 August.
This is the first time that the society is featuring one stand to represent 27 of its members. The trade show, held twice yearly in Pennsylvania, is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
The society’s chairwoman, Jacqui Pountney, says: “It’s the cheapest way to represent the many companies who’ve been hit by foot-and-mouth. We believe Walsall is the centre of the saddlery industry worldwide and we want to highlight the export potential to the area’s equestrian businesses.”
The regional development agency for the West Midlands, Advantage West Midlands has injected £30,000 to support the society.
Chris Lilley from the agency says: “The objective is to promote the skills, quality and excellence of the Walsall equestrian product to new markets.”
