Warmbloods invited to compete on video

  • The British Bavarian Warmblood Association is replacing this year’s annual show, which was cancelled due to FMD, with a video competition for dressage and style jumping open to all Bavarian Warmblood horses.

Dressage competitors can compete for a £50 first prize in the following tests:

      Preliminary 18
      Novice 31
      Elementary 41
      Medium 65
      Advanced medium 86

The competition will be judged on collective marks only eg: paces, impulsion, submission and the rider’s position.

There are two style classes for show jumping competitors: Class A for horses under five years old; and Class B for horses five years old and under.

Class A competitors should be recorded riding a course of not less than 8 fences, with minimum height of 85cm. The course must include either a double or treble combination, with at least one upright and one spread of at least 50cm.

Courses for Class B should include atleast 10 fences, with a minimum height of 1m. It must also include either a double or treble combination, with at least one upright and one spread at least 50 cm.

The dressage and show jumping entries can be videoed at a competition or private indoor or outdoor venue, but the dressage competitions must take place in the correct-sized arena.

Prize money will be awarded for first to third in both disciplines with rosettes to seventh place. Entries must be received by 30 September.
