This year’s National Side Saddle Show is taking place as planned from 10-12 August at its new venue The College EC, Keysoe, Beds. The move has been made in response to requests by competitors for sound surfaces to compete on.
There will be more than 60 classes on offer, including dressage and show jumping – which will all be held on artificial surfaces – working hunter, fancy dress, as well as a range of showing classes and the prestigious Side Saddle Rider of the Year championship.
The majority of these classes are open to non-members of the Side Saddle Association. Maureen James, honorary secretary for the association, said: “Non-members are very welcome at the show.
“There are no qualifications this year, because of foot and mouth, so the classes are open to everyone – as long as they compete in side saddles! Also there are no restrictions for stallions in any of the classes.”
Late entries will be accepted. For a schedule contact Maureen James (tel: 01858 575300).
